Kontoor Brands has outlined an aggressive multi-year expansion blueprint for Helly Hansen, targeting revenue in excess of $1.1 billion by the conclusion of the decade. The strategy maps a compound annual growth rate of approximately 10 per cent from a FY25 pro-forma revenue baseline of $675 million. Leadership intends to capture heightened market share by capitalizing on surging consumer demand for technical apparel, premium outdoor gear, and professional-grade workwear across key international territories.

Unlocking North American retail channels

Market penetration across the United States remains a primary catalyst for the brand's broader retail trajectory. They are moving from a specialist European brand to a leading global premium, technical brand, notes Børre Hegbom, Global Head, Helly Hansen. The brand is also deepening their presence in the US, strengthening their position in the Alps, and growing across outdoor and workwear categories, he adds. Operational frameworks will leverage targeted wholesale expansion alongside direct-to-consumer digital channels to elevate brand visibility among younger demographics.

Financial projections and margin expansion

Underpinning this commercial roadmap are robust profitability objectives designed to enhance shareholder returns. Corporate financial planners project gross margins reaching the mid- to high-50 per cent bracket, alongside operating margins positioned securely in the mid-teens. Furthermore, the enterprise forecasts cumulative cash generation exceeding $500 million through 2030, establishing significant flexibility for future capital allocation and ongoing global portfolio diversification.

Expanding across North America and Europe

Originating in Norway in 1877, Helly Hansen designs professional-grade technical sailing, skiing, and workwear apparel built for harsh environments. Operating as a key subsidiary of Kontoor Brands following its strategic acquisition, the brand targets affluent active consumers globally. Backed by strong financial performance and disciplined supply-chain integration, the label continues expanding its footprint throughout North America and Europe.
