Trident Limited is sharpening its operational focus across core textile and apparel segments. While consolidated top-line revenue experienced a minor 3.7 per cent contraction to Rs 1,737 crore, net earnings nearly doubled to Rs 176 crore for Q2 FY27. This margin expansion underscores a strategic recalibration toward high-margin finished products, optimized cotton sourcing, and improved capacity utilization across manufacturing hubs.
CapEx deployment across key segments
To capture growing global demand for eco-conscious home textiles and woven apparel, Trident’s board approved a comprehensive Rs 4,650 crore capital expenditure program. The blueprint funds state-of-the-art yarn production facilities in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, expands sheet weaving capacities, and integrates a 60 MW captive hybrid renewable project. Analysts view this vertical integration as crucial for securing supply chain resilience and mitigating energy cost fluctuations.
Industry dynamics and export tailwinds
Indian textile exporters are gaining market share amid shifting global supply chain preferences. The company's focus on sustainable manufacturing aligns directly with international retailer ESG standards.
The company’s capital allocation strategy balances aggressive growth in value-added textiles with balance sheet discipline, notes a company executive. With net debt declining to Rs 722 crore, our leverage parameters provide ample flexibility to complete these projects on schedule.
