Preface

Skill development management to provide demand-driven and placement-oriented programs across the textile value chain. As there is a clear cut need of the new skill development for capacity building in the entire textile value chain going forward to attain desired competitiveness and stay sustain-ably relevant.

This phenomenon has been shown in the literature to be associated with lower pay and job satisfaction, both of which indicate reduced productivity in different workplaces.

  • The primary job is to identify skill development needs & prepare apt skill set.
  • Chalk out skill development plan & maintain necessary skill inventory
  • Be a career guide/ mentor for textile/ apparel sector
  • Set up Labor Market Information System to assist potential planning and requisite delivery of training

Training tends to facilitate right kind of die casting, orientation and cultivate the desirable mind set of the workers

Benchmark international standards by Identifying ‘technology’ to be taken up for teaching & training

  • Develop standard procedures for varied jobs in consultation with corresponding trade stake holders
  • Assist Encourage organisations to establish training centers at the floor level/  premises or at any convenient location(s) as applicable.
  • Third party evaluation of trainees & award certificates also needs to be evangelized.
  • Train existing workers what may be viewed as re-skilling/ up-skilling depending on case to case.
  • There is a pressing need for periodic productivity analysis of human resources.
