Sitip highlights ways to reduce CO2 emissions at Performance Days

Italian producer of synthetic wrap knitted fabrics, Sitip SpA highlighted its strategy for reducing CO2emissions and maximizing resource use at the Performance Forum held during Performance Days. Sitip presented its latest innovations including embossing technique, a mechanical process that can also be used on the recycled items from the Native Sustainable Textiles line. The mechanical process combines heat and pressure, embossing the fabric with geometric and design motifs for a more structured and palpable texture perfect for fashion and athleisure.

The fabrics displayed by Sitip at the Performance Forum included: Native-Cosmopolitan Oslo a fine gauge circular fabric made with post-consumer recycled yarns, 4-way stretch, gives UV protection (UPF 50+), skin comfort, no-see-through effect and perfect fit. The company also showcased Native-Cosmopolitan Belfast: fine gauge 4-way stretch and double-knit fabric made with post-consumer recycled yarns, no-see-through effect and soft hand.

Another fabric displayed during the event included the Native-Cosmopolitan Paris Gz Design Carreaux/Seersucker/Gale, a back brushed fabric in fine gauge made with post-consumer recycled yarns and chemicals with a low envinronmental impact, 4-way stretch, no-see through, comfortable on the skin and easy care.
