Amid unprecedented Non Woven growth, China revises mask quality standards
With the daily output of masks touches over 20 million, China introduces new standards for KN95, effective from July 1, as a part of the comprehensive efforts to ensure an quality and safe supply chain as the mask goes global. COVID-19 drove up market demand for special gear like protective wear, face masks and sanitary textiles for hospital purposes, stimulating business for the technical textile industry. The export of non-wovens from January to April amounted to $17.257 billion, up by 79.62 percent, whereas face masks up by 986.36 percent and hospital wear (protective garment) up by 565.6 percent. China innovates improved carbon fiber through wet spinning
Until the end of last century, China had been staggering in developing its own carbon fiber technology that remained at a low level inefficient for the production in commercialization scale, and the carbon fiber needed for composite materials had to be imported. In the pre Corona period, statistics show 2019 as an year of continued growth in textiles and apparel online sales to conclude 6.69 trillion Yuan, up by 12.06 percent Year- on- Year. B2B ecommerce sales topped taking a lion-share of 73.24 percent at 4.9 trillion Yuan. Online retail sales of apparel/home-textiles maintain an impressive share of 19.6 percent of all the online shops, selling all types of goods in the country. Xiantao city which is known as “China Famous Town of Nonwovens”, has over 300 nonwoven manufacturers all are in operation. High-tech Jiahua Nonwoven Company diverted their original business to the melt-blown nonwovens on urgent notice in the middle of February to keep daily output for more than 20 tons, adequate for 20 million pieces of face mask. China’s manmade fibre industry hit hard in sales, profits drop by 75%
In first two months; Jan-Feb 2020, according to the data from National Bureau of Statistics, the man-made fiber industry saw a freefall in profits by 74.78 percent, PET fiber down by 132.01 percent and polyamide fiber (Nylon) down by 15.64 percent in profits. The total number of man-made fiber companies running in ‘red’ accounts for 48.7 percent. Profit/Sales ratio is reduced to a poor 0.48 percent in the troubled two months. The growth and fall in man-made fiber industry considerably depends on consumption market of the midstream and downstream products. Year 2020: China’s garment industry reports big fall in first two months
The first two months Jan and Feb 2020 witnessed garment production drop by 36.61 percent, paid-in investment reduced by 50.2 percent. The domestic retail sales had fallout by 20.5 percent while the retails of garment had a sharp down by 33.2 percent. The online retail too, for the wearable commodities decreased by 18.1 percent. The export of apparel had a 20 percent loss as against the corresponding months last year. More and more China’s Dyeing & Printing companies face Red
Taken together, there are 768 companies running in red, accounting for 48.72 percent of all the dyeing and printing companies, considered in a statistical study, a large increase by 16.15 percentage points over the corresponding months last year. The total loss of money in these red bottom-line companies added up to 1086 million Yuan, up by 46.41 percent. From January to February, the beginning of the year 2020, production of dyed and printed fabrics was reported to have touched 4913 million meters, a two-digit reduction by 22.42 percent, and further drop by 29.88 percent for sales income that totaled 24.706 billion Yuan from 1560 dyeing and printing companies, in ... As per China Chemical Fibers Association (CCFA), the total production of man-made fiber reached 58.27 million tons last year, up by 7.8 percent. The viscose fiber increased by 2.8 percent, PET fiber by 8.3 percent and polyamide fiber (Nylon) by 5.9 percent. China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), the voice of the textile industry in China, issued a survey report on Friday April 3 for a close look at the reignited production status due to the impact of coronavirus outbreak this year. This is most updated information about Technical Textiles economy in China in 2019, with statistics from Jan-Dec 2019, collated in February 2020. The year of 2019 witnessed 235.93 billion Yuan in business income, 1.2 percentage growth, but its profit went down by 4.3 percent with averaged profit/business income rate at 5.9%, 0.3 percentage point down as opposed to that of the year before.
