According to the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry, export volumes for value-added fabrics have climbed by nearly 7 per cent over the past two quarters, signaling a steady recovery in international orders. Industry leaders note, rising labor costs in competing manufacturing hubs have created a distinct window for Indian mills to secure long-term supply contracts with major global apparel brands.

For instance, a leading Surat-based technical textile manufacturer recently secured multi-million dollar commitments for flame-retardant industrial fabrics by demonstrating superior durability benchmarks during pre-fair sampling rounds. Sector experts emphasize, maintaining consistent raw material pricing and accelerating investments in digital looms will remain crucial for sustaining this export momentum amid fluctuating currency valuations and escalating freight tariffs.
