British textile design house Maxxam Textiles has partnered with East London garment development specialist ApparelTasker to unveil an expanded collection at the upcoming Mare di Moda trade exhibition. The collaboration marries Maxxam’s signature four-way stretch crinkle textiles with technical tailoring, introducing a vibrant Summer 2027 palette featuring citrus tones and vivid reds. Industry observers note that the alliance addresses growing retail demand for adaptive, body-inclusive apparel that minimizes material waste through localized production channels.

Scaling zero-waste production and sustainable yarn integration

Addressing complex supply chain challenges, the partnership focuses heavily on reducing environmental footprints across European retail markets. Maxxam is scaling its adoption of Oeko-Tex certified recycled nylon yarns, while ApparelTasker implements precision zero-waste cutting and fabric offcut repurposing. By bridging historical British textile innovation with transparent local manufacturing, we are enabling retail brands to shorten lead times and meet rigorous circular economy targets, stated Zack Sartor, Founder, ApparelTasker.

Focusing on long-term growth with high-margin product categories

Founded by Royal College of Art graduate Rosemary Moore in the early 1980s, Maxxam Textiles specializes in patented seamless crinkle-textured stretch fabrics historically featured in the Victoria and Albert Museum. ApparelTasker operates an ethical London-based garment development facility specializing in zero-waste techniques and responsible production. Together, they target the global swimwear, athleisure, and luxury resort retail sectors with resilient, high-margin product categories focused on long-term sustainable growth.
